magazine’s creative vision in the form of a PDF tearsheet
Judging to be based on visual layout and overall impact:
Cover is arresting,  engaging
and attracts readers to purchase and/or read the issue
Written copy is complementary to cover image

2. Best Beauty Editor of a magazine
Submit a minimum of 3 and up to 5 beauty stories from the past 12 months in the form of PDF tearsheets.  Work samples should be from multiple issues and should illustrate a broad body of work, including: written feature articles, beauty shoots (visual), and product round-ups
Judging to be based on the editor’s overall vision and point of view, demonstrated through written copy and visuals:
Content is of-the-moment, original and well-written,
with a strong point of view
Layout is well designed and complementary to editorial content

3. Best Beauty Feature – Scientific / Technical (magazine, newspaper or online)
Submit one sample of the best scientific or technical beauty feature, in the form of a PDF tearsheet.  Topics could include:  industry issues, product ingredients, innovation

Writer’s work is expertly written, demonstrates subject matter expertise, is thought-provoking and of-the-moment

4. Best Beauty Feature – Trend / Profile (magazine, newspaper or online)
Submit one sample of the best beauty trend or profile feature, in the form of a PDF tearsheet. Topics could include: trend stories, company / product / spokesperson or celebrity profiles, backstage interviews with hair or make-up artists

Writer’s work is expertly written, demonstrates subject matter expertise; and is informative / entertaining

5.  Best Fashion Editor of a magazine
Submit a minimum of 3 and up to 5 fashion stories from the past 12 months in the form of PDF tearsheets.  Work samples should be from multiple issues and should illustrate a broad body of work including; product round-ups, and fashion shoots.
